Affiliates

TPFH partners with affiliates who want to use ceramic or porcelain tile in their homes. Our involvement with an affiliate includes solicitation of all necessary materials:

• Ceramic or porcelain tile
• Floor preparation materials such as backerboard, etc.
  
• Setting materials (thinset and grout)
  
• Cleaners and sealers as necessary

Note TPFH may not always be able to offer the affiliate a selection of tile samples.  Please advise if this is a requirement in your initial donation request.  TPFH makes every effort to obtain tile in neutral colors.

We will also do our best to find contractors/installation professionals willing to donate labor and/or installation training for volunteers and/or homeowners.

We usually target the “wet areas” of the home, including the kitchen, bathroom(s), laundry rooms and entryway, but are willing to discuss special needs with individual affiliates. The square footage of these “wet areas” usually amounts to anywhere from 250 to 400 square feet in a given home.

TPFH’s first priority is to supply affiliates interested in using tile in their homes with all of the products and labor that they need. Donations to ReStores are a second priority.

To start a project with TPFH, please submit a request through the Habitat for Humanity GIK system

We will need:

• A primary contact and all necessary contact information
• When & where materials are needed
  
• Copies of quarter-inch scale plans for all areas to be tiled, if available
• Square footage of tile required
  
• An email or conversation between TPFH and the primary affiliate contact to identify exact areas to be tiled and agree upon amount of material to be solicited
  
• The affiliate’s ability to pick up materials and/or delivery address for materials

We also ask affiliates to take pictures of donated materials, the tile installation and homeowners and volunteers whenever possible.
