Tile Partners for Humanity Selects Ed Metcalf as “Tile Partner of the Year”
LATICRETE President takes Home First Annual Award
 LATICRETE, a global leader in the manufacturing of innovative systems for the installation of tile and stone, has announced that Ed Metcalf, President, North America, has been selected by the Tile Partners for Humanity as the recipient of it’s first annual Tile Partner of the Year Award. With unanimous approval from the TPFH board of directors, Metcalf was recognized for his continued support of the mission of Habitat for Humanity, and for spearheading a company-wide commitment from LATICRETE, including not just product donation, but hours and hours of labor and technical support to the cause. In addition, Metcalf was selected to be the inaugural winner of the award for his creative thinking after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, as a whole. Through the Gulf Coast Relief Project, Metcalf helped raise thousands of dollars that went directly to the TPFH and Habitat for Humanity to help tile over 400 new homes. »Full Article
2008 TPFH Donations to HFHI Exceed $1.7M
In conjunction with many generous industry partners, TPFH surpassed its 2003 - 2007 goal of $1,250,000 in donations of tile, installation materials and labor for Habitat for Humanity. In 2008, even with the economic downturn and its impact on many of our industry partners, TPFH is proud to have facilitated over $1,782,000 in donations of tile, installation materials and labor towards it's new three year (2008 - 2011) Habitat for Humanity pledge of $2,500,000. The donations made in 2008 were more than the past 5 years combined, and we hope to meet or even exceed that amount for 2009. "TPFH makes every effort to be good stewards of the donations entrusted to us, and we are very proud that over 95% of all donations received go directly to non-profit organizations and projects", says Lynn Labuda, Executive Director of TPFH.
